Power Hour started in late 2018 as a “revolt” on the traditional NYC networking group structure. Mark C. Smith, the group’s founder and one-time BNI member, noticed the inefficiency of forming meaningful working relationships in a group of 60 or more members. His aim was to form a tight-knit group that would exchange business on the basis of trust. Initially a group of 7, there are currently 22 members and counting.
What Makes Us Special
- With a cap of 30 maximum seats per chapter, members are able to form closer and more meaningful working relationships.
- There are no entry level professionals, with each member of our group having 5+ years of experience in their respective field.
- Unlike more prominent networking groups that meet weekly and during early morning hours that are the most important hours for certain professions, our group meets twice a month during lunch hours.
- As a group bonding activity, there is a complimentary cocktail reception for all members every last Thursday of the month.
- And since there is only one person of each profession, your competition is naturally locked out.
